Beyond

Beyond is one of my earlier works, created during a period of exploration — not just of materials, but of presence, emotion, and the unspoken dialogue between subject and observer. In this piece, I worked directly with photographic paper, layering ink, metal pigments, and my signature smudging technique to bring the wolves’ fur to life. The surface is soft, yet deliberate, allowing light to catch in subtle ways and reveal movement where stillness exists.
The wolves are rendered in gentle, muted tones — quiet in color, yet rich in depth. Their gaze is intentional. It lingers. It invites you to pause and wonder. I often ask myself what he is thinking as he looks back at me — and in that wondering, the boundary between viewer and subject begins to dissolve.
The work is currently framed in white, chosen not as a final aesthetic statement but as a vessel of peace and protection — a way to hold the work gently while allowing the colors and textures within the wolves to breathe. I do recommend reframing this piece to align with your space and intention, as the frame’s purpose was always to protect the artwork rather than define it.
Beyond is about what exists just past the visible — the quiet intelligence, the inner life, the knowing that cannot be spoken. It asks you not simply to look, but to feel. To dream. To listen. And perhaps, to recognize something familiar reflected back at you.
