Love & Vulnerability is a deeply personal work—an intimate self-revelation rendered through metallic light, shadow, and truth. Created over 40+ hours, this mixed-media portrait captures the duality of loving with an open heart: the beauty that elevates and the pain that cuts deeply.
The piece is built on brushed metal, using permanent inks, metallic layers, and the artist’s own blood to create depth and emotional authenticity. The red wounds across one side of her face symbolize the cost of loving vulnerably—the places where devotion, honesty, and openness have left scars. Yet on the opposite side, luminosity emerges. Metallics flare, textures lift, and her hair transforms into a radiant glow after dark, symbolizing how reciprocal love can become a source of magic, illumination, and elevation.
