NEW EVE:  ORIGINS
This unique creation is a mixed media on brushed metal measuring 20 x 24 inches and created in over multiple years during COVID. It has a matte finish using multiple ink types. This work originated in a dark period in my life. We were in the thick of COVID - I was experiencing a death of a relationship, a loss of my father to a post-fall after acquiring covid, then dying on the parents 45th anniversary, followed by the loss of our 2 cats we had for 18 years, loss of our 2 dogs we had for over 14 years and a loss of a six figure salaried job as I walked away from it because I could not have the needed time off I asked for to manage the fallout of all of these losses. This work is layered with deep meaning and resistance to the push and expectations of this world. It embraces the stand that even when we feel the most exposed, vulnerable, we can still resist and stand tall and fight through even our own perception and align with who we are, what we believe!
