Collector Description

She Still Rises is a commanding 48" x 48" original mixed media artwork on metal, created with silver leaf, red leaf, inks, acrylics, and layered mixed media elements, then sealed beneath resin to preserve its depth, luminosity, and emotional intensity.

This work was created over more than 50 hours of artistic labor, with multiple layers used to build the moon, the figure, the movement, the texture, and the dramatic tension between darkness and light.

At first glance, the piece is powerful: a black horse rising beneath a silver moon, a feminine figure reaching upward, red fire moving through the darkness. But beneath its visual drama lives a deeper story — one of survival, remembrance, and reclamation.

The horse represents untamed strength: the part of the soul that refuses to submit, even after hardship. It is instinct, protection, dignity, and power. The woman is not beneath the horse as a victim. She is in communion with it. She is reaching toward the force within herself that life once tried to separate her from.

The silver moon is the witness. It holds the silence, the memory, the mystery, and the sacred feminine light that remains even in the darkest hour. The red leafing speaks of bloodline, pain, passion, fire, sacrifice, and rebirth. It is the wound transformed into radiance.

This piece was born from the artist’s own lived experience — from a life shaped by immigration, survival, oppression, emotional betrayal, reinvention, and the long journey back to self. It carries the energy of a woman who has known darkness, but refused to become it.

She Still Rises is not decorative art. It is a statement of presence.

It belongs in a space where art is not merely seen, but felt — a luxury residence, private collection, executive office, gallery wall, equestrian estate, wellness sanctuary, or any environment where strength, beauty, and meaning are valued.

Symbolism

The black horse represents power, instinct, freedom, protection, and the untamed self.

The female figure represents endurance, awakening, and the moment a woman reaches back toward her own power.

The silver moon represents divine witness, intuition, cycles, feminine wisdom, and the light that remains even in darkness.

The red leafing represents fire, bloodline, passion, pain, love, survival, and resurrection.

The metal surface and resin finish create permanence, depth, reflection, and a luminous presence that changes with light.

This piece was created for the person who understands that true strength is not loud. Sometimes it is silent. Sometimes it is born in the dark. Sometimes it looks like a woman standing beneath the weight of everything she has survived — and still reaching upward.

She Still Rises is for the collector who knows that beauty is not the absence of pain, but what happens when pain is transformed into power.

This is not simply a painting.

It is a resurrection.
It is a witness.
It is a woman remembering herself.
And it is proof that even after darkness, she still rises.
